Vicky says,

"Voluntary work is one of the best things
you can do to help your local community
and also to build your own skills.
Working with Dan Aid has given me a
great insight to how small groups make
things happen and I hope that I've made a
difference. Everyone here is so passionate
and I'm really excited about how Dan Aid
can grow nationally. I think body piercing is
seen by a lot of people as quite trivial and it's
important to get the message out to young
people in particular, that there are risks
involved and to make sure they know the facts."

Vicky Powers is a CSV volunteer and came to Sheffield in the summer of 2007.
Vicky joined our campaign working team in July 2007 and helped us tremendously
with many different issues regarding our campain work during this time.
Vicky left Sheffield and us in March 2008 to pursue other volunteering roles.
Here she explains briefly about why she became a Dan Aid volunteer.

Vicky is a full time volunteer with the
charity, Community Service Volunteers, and worked
on a project called "Agents 4 Change" based
with BBC Radio Sheffield to encourage more
16 to 25 year olds to get involved in community work.

Vicky Powers worked with the Dan Aid Team
from July 2007 until March 2008.
Vicky came along to many of our meetings and was
always willing to help out in any way she could.
One of Vicky's aims was to try and get volunteers involved
with the work we do in schools and our funraising projects.
We found Vicky was a real assett to our team
and we all wish her well for the future.
