| Christina is the Chairperson of Dan Aid and is the main contact for the group, Chris (Christina's eldest son) is also a Trustee for Dan Aid and provides help and support for educational purposes and fund raising events. |
Dan Aid has the full support of Sheffield Heeley MP, Meg Munn. Meg has successfully amended the Local Govenrment Act 2003 for the - Regulation Of Cosmetic Piercing And Skin Colouring Businesses, of which the model byelaws came into force on the 7th September 2006. Local Health Authorities are encouraged to regulate body piercing premises by providing guidance to enforcement officers and others on health and safety issues related to skin piercing. |

Julie Hague works for the Sheffield Safeguarding Children Board and is an advisor to the Dan Aid Team. We are working in partnership with Julie as part of the "Every Child Matters" government initiative, ensuring young people are better safeguarded and informed about body piercing issues. |

| Michelle Garrigan BSc (Hons), MCIEH Environmental Health Officer, working for Sheffield City Council's Health Protection Service is an advisor to the Dan Aid Team. Sheffield City Council was one of the first councils in the UK to adopt the new model byelaw and Michelle regularly inspects body piercing premises ensuring that registered body piercers are abiding by the new rules and regulations. |

| Graham Martin is a Senior Body Piercer with studios: Thou Art in Sheffield and Holier Than Thou in Manchester. Graham is also the President of the TPI (Tattoo & Piercing Industry) and is an advisor to the Dan Aid Team.Graham boasts Thou Art as being the leading studio in the UK for setting hygeine standards. Graham is actively involved in all aspects of the Body Piercing Industry and is working hard to improve standards and educate people on the correct safety measures and body piercing techniques. |
